Violet slowly moved towards it and gently touched the ashes. The moment she touched it, the ashes glowed and suddenly faded.

‘WOAH, baby…’ I slowly said as I tried to process what just happened.

‘He was an imposter…,’ Violet muttered. ‘But where are Ryan and Natalie?’

I didn’t say anything.

‘Do you think ‘Black Widow’ is real?’ Violet asked as she got up from the floor and turned towards me,

‘Maybe, I don’t think that just two people can do something this big and why would they even? I mean, changing how you look forever is not like drinking water,’ I replied and we both started walking towards my bedroom.

‘Why? WHY? Once we realize why someone would want to do something like this, everything could be solved. All this just doesn’t make any sense. Someone kidnaps my parents, swaps them with two imposters, the imposters die because of water. Why would they even swap? Who in the world dies because of WATER?!’ I was confused more than ever.

So was Violet.

‘Jason had mentioned that no one knew who Black Widow was. So there must be other people too, maybe more hundred or thousand. I have a gut feeling that Black Widow is real and she had some things against us or your parents.’ Violet said after a while.

I nodded.

‘Let’s try to link the ‘Black Widow’ to my parents. My dad is a detective and my mom is a crime something- something lawyer. Well, people like them have hundreds, no, thousands, no, millions, no billions, Nah sextillions of enemies. The ‘Black Widow’ could have been been to prison because of my parents OR my parents could have arrested a particular criminal who is/was ‘Black Widow’s loved one.’ I spoke.

Violet agreed. ‘What if the imposters weren’t humans but just a type of an invention? That makes sense. Maybe they were some sort of robots? Well, electronics’ weakness is water, just the robot’s weakness was too powerful.’

‘The robots could be made of something that reacts with water! The reaction is sooooo powerful, that the material burns!’ I suggested.

Violet stared at me.

‘What?’ I asked.

‘I just understood what happened! The material used to make the robots might be alkali metals!’ Violet exclaimed.

It was my turn to stare at her. Except I was staring in confusion.

‘I was surfing through Google a couple of days ago when I came across alkali metals. You see, alkali metals react with water to produce heat, hydrogen gas, and the corresponding metal hydroxide. The heat produced by this reaction may ignite the hydrogen or the metal itself, resulting in a fire or an explosion. The heavier alkali metals will react more violently with water.’ Violet explained.

‘You lost me at hydrogen.’

‘Alkali metals react negatively with water, the heavier the metal, the more intense the reaction.’

‘Now, you talking my language.’

‘Let’s leave the dictionary and enter the room of the case?’

‘Yep, so the imposters ‘dying’ makes sense. Now, Where are my parents?

‘Hmmm. Look, I live alone so no one cares if I am not at home. Your parents aren’t at home so no one cares you aren’t at home,-’ Violet started.

‘What are you getting at?’ I interrupted.

‘We are going to find your parents!’

I thought about it for a while and then gave a huge smile.

‘You got it, dude!’
